Five Auburn players heading to NFL Combine

The official NFL Combine list is out and five former Auburn players are on it:
  • WR Darvin Adams
  • RB Mario Fannin
  • DT Nick Fairley
  • QB Cam Newton
  • OT Lee Ziemba
The annual pre-draft workout will take place Feb. 23 to March 1 in Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium. More than 300 prospects are invited.

The draft takes place April 28-30 in New York City.

    That's strange that Mario gets an invite. I would have thought he would have had to settle for the Auburn Pro Day. Andy, what goes into deciding who gets an invite?

    I Could see Fanin playing the same role as Chris Cooley of the Redskins. Block, catch passes, and an occasional runner. He is not an every down player but could play a big role for someone.

    I think they invite players who have a chance to get drafted. Not sure how they determine that.

    dude has size, speed and a vert, sure we know the fumbles are a problem...but people will take a chance on a extremely fast 220 pound guy

    I am surprised Pugh, Isom, Berry, and AC haven't gotten a little more attention. Not saying they will be 1st day picks or anything. But I would take Berry in the 6th and Pugh in the 3rd-5th... Just sayin.
