Tigers add another linebacker commit

Auburn continued to address a position of need in its 2010 recruiting class, picking up a commitment from Buford, Ga., linebacker Jessel Curry on Tuesday, according to the Tigers' three recruiting Web sites, AuburnSports.com, Inside the Auburn Tigers and AuburnUndercover.com.

Curry is Auburn's third commit at linebacker for next year, joining Jake Holland of Pelham, Ala., and Jawara White of Troy, Ala. He is Auburn's seventh overall commit for 2010.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Curry, who helped his Buford High team to its second straight Class AA state title last season, originally committed to West Virginia but opened up his recruitment several weeks ago.

Curry is the son of former NFL linebacker Buddy Curry, who played for the Atlanta Falcons from 1980-87. The elder Curry won the NFL's AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 1980 and was twice named an All-Pro.
