Signee profile: DL Angelo Blackson

Angelo Blackson, a 6-foot-5, 289-pound defensive tackle from Bear, Del., is Auburn's latest signee.

A rare Tigers recruit out of Red Lion Christian Academy in Delaware, the three-star Blackson is considered a sleeper from a state that doesn't normally produce big-time football talent. Although he has enough athleticism to play defensive end, he projects as a tackle at the college level.

He is a big, nimble tackle who needs to develop but might be a candidate for early playing time because of the lack of depth on Auburn's interior line. The scouting services are high on his upside.
