Tigers get '12 commitment from OL Michael Flint

Auburn got to work on its 2012 recruiting class, getting a commitment from offensive lineman Michael Flint of Oxford, Ala.

The 6-foot-4, 296-pound Flint picked Auburn over offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and LSU, among others. He announced his decision at his high school Monday after visiting Auburn last weekend.

Flint's second cousin is former Auburn running back Terry Henley, a first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American selection in 1972.

Flint is the Tigers' first commitment for 2012. He is being recruited to play guard.

Excellent news

Although, Terry Henley was a HB, not a lineman. Leading rusher in 1972 if my memory of reading old Auburn books is correct.

Sure enough, he was. My mistake.

Maybe this guy will be as funny as Terry.

At the pep rally before the '72 Iron Bowl, Coach Jordan all the other seniors stepped up to the mike, one by one, and talked about what a great team undefeated Alabama had.

When Terry's turn came, he walked up and said "We're gonna' take 'em like a capsule." Two days later came the blocked punts.
Another one from the Henly family is fine by me. War Eagle Michael Flint!
