AC named d-lineman of the week

Antonio Coleman earned SEC defensive player of the week honors after making 4 tackles, 1 sack and 1½ tackles for a loss against Tennessee. The Volunteers had a season-low 191 yards of offense, their lowest total against Auburn since 1988.

Here's a question: who's having the better season on the Tigers' defensive line -- AC or Sen'Derrick Marks?

Here are their stats:

AC: 19 tackles, 7 TFL, 4 sacks, 7 QBH, 1 FF
Sen'Derrick: 19 tackles, 8 TFL, 2 sacks, 2 PBU, 2 QBH

Close call. Any thoughts?

.....SenDerrick Marks. Not even close. He's DEMANDING a double-team block, every snap. Monroe tried running sprint zone stretches away from him, but he chased runners down from the back side. Since, you can bank on both the center AND right guard hitting Marks. And he STILL makes plays!

I'm inclined to agree. Sen'Derrick is putting up stats at a position that usually prevents that sort of thing.

Either way, both could be all-SEC first-teamers.
