The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Carter is Auburn's 14th commitment for 2010. He had offers from Alabama, Kentucky and Ole Miss.
Rivals and Scout rank Carter as a 3-star recruit.
He had 60 tackles and six sacks as a junior in high school, according to AuburnSports.com.

This is good news, both for this young man and for the program.
While recruiting rankings really shouldn't be given much credence, it's often interesting to see the variance between Rivals and Scout.
I'm starting to think a more credible source might be ESPN.com. Four of AU's commitments are listed there and the site seems to provide in-depth analysis of players' merits and upside.
