The Tigers will play the Bulldogs in Starkville, Miss., on Sept. 9 instead of Saturday, Sept. 11, as originally scheduled. The game will be televised by ESPN.
It’s Auburn’s second game of the season. The Tigers open at home against Arkansas State on Sept. 4.
Auburn has not played a Thursday night game since 2008 at West Virginia. The Tigers are 6-2 all-time on Thursday nights.
The Tigers and Bulldogs previously met in an ESPN Thursday night contest in 2002, with Auburn winning 42-14 in Starkville.

Short week before the Miss State game, but extra time before Clemson. Given Ark. State in week one, this seems like a good move.
Yeah, I doubt Auburn will need all of August to prep for Arkansas State.
It looks to me like we have a pretty favorable schedule next year, with the Iron Bowl being the biggest challenge it appears.
Things certainly set up nicely. Mississippi State won't be a pushover, but Ole Miss on the road looks considerably less intimidating now that Snead has declared for the NFL draft. (Stupid decision on his part, by the way.)
