Todd added to Maxwell Award watch list

Well, it seems people are starting to take notice of Chris Todd's fast start. The quarterback was one of 12 players added to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which is given annually to the nation's outstanding college football player.

Todd joins running back Ben Tate on the list. Tate was one of 55 players named to the list in the preseason.

Todd has completed 81 of 138 passes for 1,230 yards and 12 touchdowns during Auburn's 5-0 start. He only has one interception this year. He ranks seventh nationally in yards per completion (15.2), is tied for seventh in touchdown passes and is eighth in passing efficiency (160.81).

Semifinalists for the award will be announced Nov. 4. The three finalists will be named Nov. 23, with the winner announced during the college football awards show on ESPNU on Dec. 10.

It's about time. Tood's every bit as good as Mallet, and better than Snead.

And Tate is having a fantasitc season. After tattooing Berry's face with #44, the world oughta know.

Toddd *trying to make you feel gud War Eagle 47*
is having a great year and seems very poised in the pocket. I sat in the Endzone at UT and noticed how 'even keeled' he seemed the whole game. Hope it continues. Wonder how long before ESPN starts with the "Todd turnaround" feel good stories. He deserves any recognition he gets.

Great blog by the way --Outstanding information
