QB Chris Todd to remain starter for Auburn

Auburn will stick with a struggling Chris Todd as its starting quarterback, Tigers head coach Gene Chizik said during his Sunday teleconference.'

"We still think Chris gives us the best chance to win," Chizik said.

Todd had another rough outing at LSU on Saturday night, completing 8 of 14 passes for 47 yards with one interception and no touchdowns as the Tigers lost 34-10.

The senior is 33-for-66 for 260 yards in the last three games, all losses.

"We're going against much better competition than earlier in the year," Chizik said. "And we're to that point where we've got to execute better. Chris had a lot of pressure on him last night."

Todd's backup, Neil Caudle, led Auburn on its only scoring drive last night, going 3-for-5 for 34 yards and connecting with Philip Lutzenkirchen on a 1-yard touchdown pass in the final seconds.

Chizik said he and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn spoke about what the offense needs to do as a whole to pull out of its current funk.

"But that's from offensive line to wideouts to Wildcat to the whole gamut," Chizik said. "So it wasn't specifically related to one guy, if that makes sense."

How many last chances will Todd get?..3 bad games in a row means its time to see the bench...I guess if Todd is horrible again (on which I would be money), Caudle could start against Furman...Mario should see more snap at RB until McCalleb is healed...Mario or Stallworth should also see snaps at WildCat...But what do I know

O M G, Say it ain't so. Obviously the coaching staff believe that next year will be our "rebuilding" year. That having been said, then this year is just a trash year with a bowl game our only goal. If we do not get 7 wins, we will end up in Birmingham, AL vs a Big East team in the Papa Johns.com game.
