AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn’s Neiko Thorpe had the kind of game against Arkansas that cornerbacks rather would forget. As it turns out, everyone’s told him that is the best thing to do.
Thorpe was beaten on three fade patterns against the Razorbacks. Quarterback Ryan Mallett threw one lob over the cornerback to receiver Greg Childs for a 16-yard touchdown in the second quarter,
“That’s the life of a DB,” Auburn head coach Gene Chizik said.
“Sometimes it’s feast or famine. Neiko’s had a lot of good days and he had a day that wasn’t as good as we would have hoped or he would have hoped. Like we say, you’ve got to have a short memory; that’s really the life of those guys. It’s different than a D-lineman. If he gets beat, nobody sees it.”

You know what stinks, is we were busting Jerraud Powers for leaving last year and wondering what he was thinking, but watching how good he's been so far in the NFL, not only did he make the right decision, but how much better do you think we'd be defensively if he would have hung around?
I think no one appreciated Jerraud that much because he was injured for most of last year. He really was quite the talent.
And from a media standpoint, he was an interview all-star.
