Auburn names all-decade team from the 2000s

Auburn released an all-decade team from the 2000s today, recognizing 11 players on offense, 11 on defense and three on special teams.

The list includes six All-Americans and 16 first-team All-SEC selections, based on voting from over 10,000 Auburn fans on AuburnTigers.com this month.

Members of the team will be recognized on A-Day this Saturday:

.....I have Darvin Adams on my 2000s team. If you compare 2009 to any other single receiver year, Adams wins. Comparable number of catches, better yards per catch, and he didn't drop 'em. Taylor and Obomanu had some BIG drops.

.....I think Ben Nowland was a better center. Lindsey only started there in 2003, and this was the offense that scored zero against Southern Cal, 3 against Georgia Tech, 10 against Arkansas, and 7 against Georgia. Nowland's senior year Auburn averaged 29.8 points per game (2002).

.....Danny Lindsey was a better guard than Crittenden, as was Tim Duckworth. I have to go with Robert Johnson or Lorenzo Diamond over Wallace.

.....SenDerrick Marks over TJ Jackson is just plain strange. I think Walter McFadden had a better year last year than any Powers year. And Wes Byrum didn't EVER miss five field goals in a single game like Vaughn did!
