Auburn first baseman Hunter Morris earned SEC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, the first Tiger to do so since Gabe Gross and Mailon Kent won the award twice each in 2001.
The junior went 8-for-13 last week with two doubles, two trips and two home runs. He scored seven runs and drove in nine to go with a 1.538 slugging percentage. He had a game-winning RBI single in the final inning Sunday to lift Auburn to a 6-5 win against Kentucky.
Morris leads the SEC in slugging percentage (.779). He is second in hits (71), RBIs (53) and home runs( 13) and third in doubles (14) and triples (5). He's hitting .413, fourth in the league.
