Chizik and Co. swinging for fences on recruiting trail

Gene Chizik has wasted no time trying to change Auburn's perception on the recruiting trail.

This info is coming from the good folks over at AuburnSports.com, who have a very good lock on the recruiting lowdown.

Auburn will host the nation's No. 1 wide receiver (Rueben Randle from Bastrop, La.) this weekend and hopes to plan a visit from the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback (Tyrik Rollison from Sulphur Spring, Texas). The Tigers also plan to meet with the nation's No. 1 running back, Bryce Brown from Wichita, Kan.

Randle and Rollison were both being recruitied by new Auburn running backs coach Curtis Luper when he was at Oklahoma State.

Auburn hired a bunch of coaches from Oklahoma (Luper, Trooper Taylor and Gus Malzahn), so maybe it makes sense to think big and take a shot at some of these recruits who are from that area. We'll see where this gets the Tigers before the Feb. 4 signing day.
