Wide receiver Chris Slaughter is no longer enrolled at Auburn University, according to a report on AuburnSports.com. Athletic department officials were not able to confirm the news just minutes ago.
Slaughter caught 15 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown last year. His breakout game came against Ole Miss, when he had eight receptions for 131 yards.
The Fort Valley, Ga., native's Auburn career never truly got off the ground. After failing to qualify academically coming out of Peach County High in 2006, he attended Hargrave Military Academy, joining Auburn in 2007.
He was suspended three games earlier this year for a violation of teams rules.
