Two Tigers were recognized by the SEC for their play in the Tennessee game. Place-kicker Wes Byrum earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors, while running back Onterio McCalebb was the conference's Freshman of the Week.
Byrum, a junior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., went 4-for-5 on field goal attempts, connecting from 29, 43, 19 and 22 yards. The four field goals were a career high and the most in a game by an Auburn kicker since 2004. He's now 10-for-11 on the season.
McCalebb, a freshman from Fort Meade, Fla., via Hargrave Military Academy, finished with 204 all-purpose yards, a career-best and a team season high. He had 51 rushing yards, 62 receiving yards and 91 yards on kickoff returns. That included a 52-yard return with 4:19 left in the game that set up Byrum's game-clinching field goal.
