Auburn women beat Florida in SEC tournament, advance to play second-seeded Kentucky

Alli Smalley scored a career-high 29 points and Jordan Greenleaf added 15 points and 13 rebounds as the Auburn women's basketball team beat seventh-seeded Florida 74-61 in the first round of the SEC tournament Thursday in Duluth, Ga.

The 10th-seeded Tigers (15-15) advance to play second-seeded Kentucky tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Auburn beat the Wildcats 65-53 in its regular season finale at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum last week. Kentucky won the teams' first meeting 68-50 in Lexington, Ky., in January.

Smalley went 10-for-14 from the field, making five 3-pointers. Blanche Alverson added 13 points and Morgan Toles 11 points and seven assists for the Tigers.

Auburn needs to win one more game to be eligible for the postseason WNIT.
