N.C. State upends Auburn men's hoops by two

Auburn finished the three-day Glenn Wilkes Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fla., with a 1-2 record after a 60-58 loss to N.C. State on Sunday night. Tracy Smith made a basket with 1.3 seconds left to give the Wolfpack the victory.

Frankie Sullivan
was the only Auburn player to reach double figures for Auburn, finishing with a game-high 21 points. Lucas Hargrove and DeWayne Reed each added nine.

The Tigers (2-3), who were without Tay Waller for the fourth straight game, finally find their shooting stroke from outside, going 9-for-23 (.391) from long range. But Auburn went a dismal 5-for-15 from the free throw line.

Dennis Horner scored 16 points to lead N.C. State (4-0), which was picked to finish last in the ACC.

Auburn is back in action Wednesday at home against High Point. Tip-off is 8 p.m. ET.
