Woodlawn High athlete Chris Davis out of Birmingham became Auburn's 23rd commitment for 2010 Saturday.
Auburn's three major recruiting Web sites -- AuburnSports.com, Inside the Auburn Tigers and AuburnUndercover.com -- reported the news first.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Davis ran for 870 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. He had five interceptions on defense.
He also had offers from South Carolina, Kentucky, Southern Miss and UAB.
Davis is Auburn's 10th commit for 2010 from Alabama.

Do the coaches see Chris as a DB or a RB? We seem to have a lot of depth at RB, but all the stats you read on his are his offence stats. Sure hope his 4.5 speed can be used at corner.
Since we need DB's and he had five interceptions, it's a good bet that he's being recruited for defense.
Also, maybe the guy can catch a punt!
Corner and punt returns are what I have read.
