Three Tigers earn coaches' All-SEC honors

Defensive end Antonio Coleman, cornerback Walt McFadden and left tackle Lee Ziemba were named to the coaches' All-SEC teams, which were released Tuesday.

Coleman made the first team. McFadden and Ziemba were second-team selections.

It's the second honor in as many days for Coleman, who made the Associated Press first team Monday. His stats are exactly the same as they were in Monday's blog post, as are McFadden's.

Ziemba has started 37 straight games at tackle, every game of his college career. He is part of a line that has paved the way for an offense that is 282 yards shy of breaking the school's single-season mark for total offense. Auburn enters the bowl game with 5,188 yards of offense.

Here's a link to the full first and second teams.

And the coaches show they are just as effing clueless as the press, omitting Darvin Adams when his stats were better than almost all the people they named to the 1st and 2nd teams. Disgusting.

Thank you Rag. I thought I was the only one griping about that. I was beginning to think that I don't know what I'm talking about. No Ben Tate either. Auburn get's no respect. Julio had 300 less yards than Darvin and 6 less TDs.

Just shows you how far reputation can get you in these awards.

Yep. You're definitely right about that Andy. I'm still mad about 2004. We've had three NC from the SEC since then and none of them were undefeated. Did you know we had Alabama reporters who voted in the poll that didn't even vote for us in 2004 (cough,ahem...Paul Gattis). Most of them went to the UA though. Imagine that, bias in poll voting. Don't get me wrong, if I was picking a WR for my college team it would probably be AJ or Julio but Darvin outplayed both of those guys on the field in 2009. Thanks Andy.

To the winners go the spoils...and if you believe the selections, Coach C and his staff got pretty good mileage out of his squad.

I was just going to post about Darvin Adams but see that's been covered. Considering he's just a sophomore this year, he should be on everyone's list next year, at least.
