- ESPN's Chris Low is back with another list. This one is the 10 best SEC players nobody knew about, and Auburn's WR Darvin Adams finally made the list, coming in at No. 3.
- ESPN Big Ten blogger Adam Rittenberg has a one-on-one interview with Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald.
- In the least shocking news of the day, Notre Dame is still not interested in joining the Big Ten. And why would it? Until the NCAA forces the Irish to give up its cushy rules, with its own TV contract and an easy route to the BCS, it will never join a conference.
- Word from the Chicago Tribune is that the Big Ten might even consider expanding to 14 or 16 teems, which is such a colossally stupid idea I don't even know what to say about it. Although it would be funny to see a conference called the Big 10 with 16 teams.
- Kansas' Mark Mangino got a nice little parting fit from Kansas, raking in $3 million not to coach.
- Think Turner Gill might be a good choice for Kansas? Three players who appeared to be headed out the door now want to play for the newly-hired coach.
- Playing in a bowl game isn't always a financial boon, according to the Wizard of Odds.
- Many Oklahoma fans aren't traveling the Sun Bowl. Why? Oh, the whole Murder Capital of the World thing across the boarder in Ciudad Juarez.
