Auburn practices this afternoon, so I'll be back with an update then. Some (brief) links will tide you over until then:
- ESPN blogger Chris Low takes a look at the Top 10 freshman in the SEC this year. S Daren Bates is up there. As a side note, who would have thought after his first few games that RB Onterio McCalebb wouldn't be on there.
- The Big Ten wants to expand, so it can join the SEC, Big 12 and ACC in hosting a conference championship game. Missouri could be one of the teams considered to make the conference's title even more misleading with a 12th member. Some other schools that have been bandied about: Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Rutgers. Obviously Notre Dame would be the dream choice, but the Irish aren't giving up their independent status.

I thought the same about McCalebb, but then realized he's not a true freshman -- he transfered from Hargrave (or similar) Military Academy I think. Does that make him a redshirt freshman this season?
Thanks for the updates: good to have you off furlough!
Prep school players are considered true freshman once they get into school, so McCalebb would have qualified.
Junior college players are the ones that lose years off their eligibility.
Ah, when then it definitely doesn't make sense. Thanks for the clarification.
Makes since to me. It's Auburn. McCallebb was injured during the Ball St. game and wasn't the same the last eight games, but still was 15th in rushing in the SEC. Well everybody beat out Darvin so. Chris Low is a homer anyway. I don't know how you can have two SEC freshman of the week honors and not be mentioned.
