DE Joel Bonomolo completes Auburn's class

The last of the letters of intent finally came in when defensive ends Joel Bonomolo of Metairie, La., and Corey Lemonier of Hialeah, Fla., faxed theirs to Auburn.

We've covered Lemonier already. Bonomolo is a junior college transfer from Fullerton Community College in California. He's 6-foot-3, 245 pounds and is a four-star recruit by Rivals and a three-star by Scout.

Bonomolo had surgery on his shoulder to repair a labrum issue in November. He played in five games last season as a result.

He has three years to play two but is apparently trying to get a medical redshirt for last season.

Here's Scout's take:
As a freshman last season for Fullerton Bonomolo had a huge season from his defensive end spot. He finished with 65 tackles, 18 tackles for losses and 12 ½ sacks using his speed and quickness off the ball. He plans to play this season as a sophomore and have three years left to play two when he gets to the next level
And an YouTube video to boot:

For those counting, that's 27 signees today to go with the five players who enrolled in January and count against last year's class.

Chizik is up next at 2 p.m. CT. We'll have updates once he speaks.
