LEXINGTON, Ky. — It's been a Cam Newton showcase through one half at Commonwealth Stadium.
Newton ran for four touchdowns and accounted for 261 yards as No. 8 Auburn built a 31-14 halftime lead against Kentucky.
The Tigers met little resistance on touchdown drives of 78, 80, 80 and 100 yards. Newton finished each one with a touchdown run, getting into the end zone from 16, 8, 5 and 3 yards out.
The junior quarterback had 13 rushes for 132 yards and is 8-for-11 passing for another 129 yards.
Auburn out-gained the Wildcats 364-181.
Wes Byrum added a 38-yard field goal to account for Auburn's other points.
Wide receiver/quarterback Randall Cobb had a hand in both of Kentucky's touchdowns, with a 2-yard run and 6-yard pass to tight end Jordan Aumiller.
Craig McIntosh made a 29-yard field goal just before halftime to cut the lead to 14.

CAM IS THE BEST PLAYER IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL!
An effort like that won't get it done against Ark., LSU, or Bama...
