Fax salesman rejoice: it's National Signing Day

It's National Signing Day, the biggest day of the year for football recruitniks, to the point that I almost sense more interest today than there was when Auburn played for the national championship a few weeks ago.

Well, you've come to the right place today. I'll be at the Auburn athletic complex bright and early, ready to tweet, blog and write about the day's proceedings as they happen. I'll get as close to the fax machine as I can. (As an aside, why do we still use fax machines? Are we not past this yet, technologically? I envision Dennis Duffy from "30 Rock" peddling them in his downtime from being the Beeper King.)

ANYWAY, be sure to follow the blog on Twitter and Facebook for the quickest updates and check back on the blog periodically throughout the day.

Here's my story from today's paper to get you off on the right foot.

And here's a guide of when a few of Auburn's targets will be announcing today. I believe most of these are on ESPNU, but make sure to watch Columbus-Carver's Gabe Wright make his decision on a live stream live on Ledger-Enquirer.com:
  • 9:15 a.m. ET: Erique Florence, S, Valley, Ala. (Auburn, USC)
  • 11 a.m. ET: Brent Calloway, LB/RB, Russellville, Ala. (Auburn, Alabama)
  • 12 p.m. ET: Cyrus Kouandjio, OT, Hyattsville, Md. (Auburn, Alabama)
  • 1:30p.m. ET: Gabe Wright, DT, Columbus, Ga. (Auburn, Tennessee)
  • 2 p.m. ET: Jermaine Whitehead, CB, Greenwood, Miss. (Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss)
Also, I'll have a running tally to the right with links to blog posts about each of Auburn's signees. So if you've missed one, that's an easy index to use.

Andy, can you get aa announcement time for Antonio Richardson and Spencer Region. We all have our fingures crossed that we get Cyrus Kouandjio but if not, will Auburn still have time to make a puch for either Richardson or Region?

Region? I wasn't aware AU had even the slightest interest in him.

For crying out loud, what's taking so long?
