New Titans coach Mike Munchak told WJOX radio in Birmingham this morning that the team had spoken to Rocker and was "real excited about him."
"Obviously, he's done a great job as a player and now he's worked his way up through the ranks in coaching, and he's coming off a national championship at Auburn, so he'd be a great fit for any organization," Munchak said. "We know what it's like to have a great defensive line coach, and he'd fit that bill, so I'm very much interested in him."
Rocker, who won the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award in 1988 as a player for Auburn, returned to his alma mater as a coach when Gene Chizik initially put together his staff in 2009.
Chizik has yet to lose a member of that original staff.
Tennessee is looking to replace Jim Washburn, who left after 12 seasons for the same job with the Philadelphia Eagles.
