Auburn jumped to the No. 2 spot in the Associated Press poll today, matching its ranking in the USA Today coaches' and Harris Interactive polls. The Tigers trail Oregon in all three polls.
Auburn, which beat Chattanooga 62-24 Saturday, was third in the AP poll last week but jumped Boise State, which fell to fourth. TCU is third (five points behind Auburn) and LSU fifth.
The top two remained the same in the coaches' poll. TCU jumped Boise State for third. Wisconsin came in fifth.
Auburn received four first-place votes from the coaches, two from the AP and seven from the Harris voters.
The BCS rankings will be released tonight at 8:15 ET.

And here's the usual breakdown of the AP ballots:
- Two No. 1 votes are still by Doug Lesmerises of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer and Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News.
- 27 voters have the Tigers second, 16 have them third and 15 have them fourth.
- That's one more second-place vote, two fewer third-place votes and three extra fourth-place votes.
- The two state voters, Jon Solomon of the Birmingham News and Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News, still have Auburn second.
- Two voters had TCU No. 1: Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News and Ray Ratto of the San Francisco Chronicle. Wolf had Auburn third and Ratto had it fourth.
- Seven voters had Boise State No. 1: Joe Giglio of the Raleigh News & Observer, Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Chad Crippe of the Idaho Statesman and Ferd Lewis of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Bob Asmussen of the Champaign News-Gazette, Pete DiPrimio of the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel and Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
- Giglio and Anderson had Auburn second. Crippe and Lewis had it third. Asmussen, DiPrimio and Fittipaldo had the Tigers fourth.
- Average ranking this week: 2.73, exactly what it was last week.

Thanks, Andy. You know we're all a little sensitive about this right now. That makes me feel better.
Hasn't the SEC team been the underdog in every NCG (with the exception of last year) every time the conference team has won it all? I like the idea of playing an overconfident Oregon team right now. They think they are world beaters. We shall see.

LSU jumped because they beat the thought-to-be-invincible Tahd. Not to worry, we've beaten LSU so their jump helps us in the computer polls.
