A late bloomer who didn't garner much D-I interest because of his "tweener" status, Denson got an Auburn offer this summer and jumped at it. He followed it up with a strong senior season at Hoover High, finishing with 1,183 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.
He's got good size and could be an option in an H-back-type role. He's not the fastest receiver (Rivals has him with a 4.5 40 time) but recruiting experts think he has a high ceiling as a big target who can create mismatches with defenders and as a blocker.

- Quotable: "Coach Troop talked to (the receivers) before the camp and said that if we went out there and dropped a lot balls that we're not ready for SEC football. I took that as a challenge. I went out, caught a lot of balls and did what I knew how to do and earned a scholarship." -- Denson in July
Here's a scouting report by Scout's Andrew Bone:
Denson is one of the most underrated receivers in this class. He was a late bloomer and flew under the radar until the summer prior to his senior year. He has excellent size and speed. He does a great job catching the ball at its highest point and has very good body control. He needs to continue to improve his overall skills as receiver and work on his routes.
