Auburn linebacker Craig Stevens earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in a 41-30 win against West Virginia last Saturday.
Stevens had a career-high 11 tackles. He also returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown with 3:41 to play to seal the victory. The interception and touchdown were both firsts for the linebacker.
The 6-foot-3, 223-pound junior from Tallahassee, Fla., has 26 tackles this season (second on the team to Josh Bynes' 28) in addition to 3.5 tackles for a loss, a sack, an interception and two quarterback hurries.
