ESPN's College GameDay will be coming to Auburn for the Tigers' game against Clemson this Saturday, the show announced on its Twitter feed today.
Auburn hasn't been featured on the show since losing to Vanderbilt on Oct. 4, 2008. That, of course, was the 14-13 loss that sealed Tony Franklin's fate as offensive coordinator.
The last time the show came to Auburn was Sept. 20, 2008, when the Tigers hosted LSU. The visiting Tigers came away with a 26-21 win that night.
The traveling pre-game show features ESPN commentators Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and Erin Andrews.
It's the show's sixth visit to Auburn in 24 years. It's the 11th time the Tigers have played in the show's on-site game.
GameDay's previous visits to the Auburn campus have been in 2006 (vs. Florida), 2004 (vs. Georgia), 1997 (vs. Florida) and 1995. Its debut on the Plains was on Nov. 18, 1995, when Auburn hosted Alabama.
The show airs live on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. ET on ESPNU and from 10 a.m.-noon ET on ESPN. The GameDay set location will be announced in the near future.
Auburn and Clemson are scheduled for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN and ESPN 3D.
