Technical difficulties with the LIVE chat

Sorry, folks. I'm having some technical difficulties trying to get today's LIVE chat on Auburn football launched. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I think we might have to scrap it for this week and give it another go next week for Tennessee, when I'm sure you'll all have a bunch of questions.

Feel free to post any questions you might have had in the comments section below and I'll answer them there. Again, I'm sorry we couldn't get this to work today.

.....Good afternoon, and a hearty War Eagle to ya! Sorry about the issues. I've seen coveritlive go down, elsewhere, particularly if a lot of people are logged on. If that was the case, that's not necessarily a bad thing, eh?

.....Obviously, the story of mid week with the Tigers is Gabe McKenzie back at defensive end. Which side is he going to play?

I think Gabe will get some snaps as defensive end, because he sure as heck was doing anything on offense. It seems like Gabe never really found a spot in Malzahn's offense, which is weird, because I think they'd like somebody of that size to be a blocking option. Perhaps he's not versatile enough for his their tastes.

What tells you that Auburn didn't necessarily prize Gabe's offensive skills is that Trott is still hobbled by a knee injury and Lutzenkirchen has some knee issues right now. That leaves Mario Fannin, Eric Smith and Jay Wisner as the guys who fit in that H-back/tight end/slot receiver role.

I don't know how much of an impact he'll be on defense, but I think he's got a better shot of getting on the field on that side of the ball.

Andrew, I was wondering what was going on with the live chat. I thought my computer was broken!

I was on and off the phone with my grandson, who was trying to give me assistance, but that was difficult because every time he called, I had to disconnect from AOL. Oh well, I will look forward to next week's chat.

Also, do you know Mr. Charles Goldberg? He writes for the News in Birmingham, Alabama. I have been having problems logging in to Alabama.com in the last several days. Is there any way you could pass that message to him?

Thanks for all the hard work you do and tell your boss Mike that I loved his column last week!

Yes, it was a minor glitch with the set-up we had with the Cover It Live chat. We'll have it fixed by next week.

And Mr. Charles Goldberg does an (excellent job). I will pass the message along to him.

Do you know if Pybus will play any this week?

Andy Bitter said...

I'd be shocked if Pybus played this week. He hasn't been able to do much of anything since suffering his concussion. He was never even a part of Muscle Beach when we got to watch practice.

I'm going to the game this week and was wondering... do you think this is going to be the type of game where we blow them out and the starters come out early in the game??? I know it's an odd question, was just curious about your thoughts.

Also, do you know when or if we might start to see Blake or Benton making some plays at the WR position???

Thanks Andy! Love your articles, and love your blog! Really enjoying the videos too! War Eagle!!!

I predicted a 52-10 win for Auburn, so yes, I think the backups will be in the game quite early.

I would also imagine Benton and Blake would get some time. Auburn's got to get them up to speed for the heart of the SEC season.
