Pictures aplenty from Auburn's Fan Day

Thanks for the pictures. I wish I could have been there.

Thanks, too--I wish I could've got in.

The record crowd made for a lot of disappointed fans who never got in the arena. We got there about 3pm and they shut the doors on us. Some people waited until 4pm and still didn't get in.

I'm glad for the people who got to enjoy Fan Day, but there were hundreds left outside baking in the sun who had to go home empty-handed. And the event official we talked to wasn't nice about it, either.

I'd like to see this issue addressed before the next Fan Day and at the least an apology rendered to the fans left outside.

Have to agree with you Anonymous. The pictures are nice, but don't tell the true experience of most of the fans.

Should have shown a few pictures of the fans that were stuck inside the Arena and not moving anywhere. One door open in which to funnel 8500 fans inside the building?

We moved about 50 feet in an hour and were still on the ground floor and no way were we going to get close to the football players. Finally gave up and left after one official told us there was no way we would be able to get up to where the players were assembled. And it's not like we showed up late as we were there when the door(s) opened.

At least no one yelled "fire", because it would have been a disaster.

AU officials need to rethink how fan day is handled or at least plan for a large number of fans.

I totally agree with those disappointed fans. We were in line for over 2 hours and barely made it through 1/3 of the defensive line. I consider us lucky. We were told the team had a meeting. Well, if you are going to have "Fan Day", shouldn't it be about the fans? And, the players were so apologetic about having to leave, so this is not their fault. This was complete unorganization on the university's part. Don't get me wrong...I love Auburn. I graduated in 1995 and I truly love Auburn. But, I will not take my children back to Fan Day again unless it is better organized.
