"We're not a good enough team yet to just say we're going to go out and play and rest everybody and hopefully win the game and get them ready for next week," he said. "Guys need to play. Those that have watched us the last four weeks know that we're not a team yet that's just going to roll our jerseys out there and be good."
Other developments:
- Center Jason Bosley (ankle, shoulder) participated in part of Wednesday's practice. From the sounds of it, the senior has been battling several ailments all season.
- Tristan Davis is officially the team's fullback when it goes to an "I" formation. Auburn rarely had a use for the fullback in the spread, but since Tony Franklin was fired, has introduced elements of last year's power-based running game.

The Tristan Davis thing really bothers me. I know he's put on some lbs but fullback really? Haven't seen him make a good lead block yet. Seems kinda pointless to me. where's Jon Douglas? Do you think eric smith will eventually be a fullback?
I am big on lead blockers by the way. To me the heath evans, brandon johnsons and jake slaughters of the world are very valuable.
.....I have to agree, Ron. Tristan actually has blocked better than I would have thought, but he's hardly going to be able to butt heads for a significant number of plays.
.....Thing is, with Davis in there, I'd think you'd HAVE to run the belly play to him, every now and then. If he cracks through, he's GONE! That, or you could offset him, bring him back in motion towards the center, and do one of those sweep handoffs to him.
.....Wasting Tristan Davis' speed making him a blocking fullback, is like cleaning your glasses with Crown Royal.
